Rory, Roxy, Rigby and Rowlet come to us

The day after we adopted out Snuggler and Marcus Barbara got a call about these 6 week old kittens, all looking different, that needed some fostering.

We’ve named them in these two weeks:

Rory is the orange tiger male, Roxy is the calico female, Rigby is the black short-hair with white socks and Rowley is the all grey.

We’ve had Rory and Roxy on Amoxicillin or another anti-biotic since a few days in because of their cold like symptoms and Rory is pretty well cured but Roxy continues having a runny eye and nose.

Rigby and Rowley have the softest coats ever, you just want to hold them and pet them.

Two days ago we got Rigby and Rowly neutered and today we got Rory neutered. Roxy will be last once she’s better but that may not be for a week.

We’ve sent the neutered one’s photos and descriptions to Debbie to post on PetFinder?.

Snuggler and Marcus adopted by Amy and we’ve heard from Paige’s family

This woman Amy called in about two female tiger kittens the other day through PetFinder? and Debbie told her that we have cute male and female set. She seemed interested so at the adoption event last night, Amy showed up with her daughter and snapped the two of them up. We’ve gotten an email saying that they are both doing fine. Snuggler is now Lollipop and Marcus is still Marcus.

All I can do now is hope they have a good life.

And, Paige’s adopter sent a beautiful set of photos of Paige happy as can be, so nice of them to do that. Yeah Paige or Daisy.

Paige Gets Adopted

It’s Sunday and Paige got adopted today at the Petco adoption event. A mother and her older daughter who have an 8yr old cat at home. They were in the store and didn’t intend to adopt a kitten. They emailed a photo to her husband and he said yes, so off she went.

Meanwhile Snuggler and Marcus are still not very friendly when approached at these events. We have to continue to work with them to get them more accustomed to being held on-demand. When they want it’s no problem but when people want to hold them it’s another story and the plot’s bad and ending is worse.

Milo gets adopted

Last night was the second adoption event for any of the four tigers and Milo got adopted, he’s be a little unwell but the woman adopter came specifically to adopt him. We told our sponsor at Merrimack Animal Rescue about him being sick and the adopter still was told, so off he goes. Barbara made it a point to explain the one month insurance benefit that the rescue organization affords adopters and I can only hope she uses it. Milo is a nice kitten, good looking and playful when he’s well. Even during this oncoming sickness he still played when he could.

We’ve been told the clues to real problems are when the animal stops eating and drinking. Milo has hung back when the other kittens are eating only to go and eat after they’ve pretty much finished. I sense he doesn’t want to be jostled and he hung back to accommodate him feeling unwell.

Snuggler, Paige and Marcus are all well. A little girl was holding onto Paige yesterday for dear life but her mother could not be persuaded to adopt lovely little Paige. Oh, Paige is the piggiest of the four tigers weighing in over three pounds. Still, a beautiful kitten.

Update on MrH – Mark brought him in yesterday to adoptions and he has grown as expected. He’s now a real armful, beautiful but still just tucks himself away in the cage as if trying to hide. I held him for a while and he didn’t seem to mind. In the cage wass MrH’s friend Billy Bob a somewhat larger black kitten. The two of them seem to get along just fine. Here’s hoping that MrH gets adopted soon too.
